McMullen customers who have chosen the stuffed sole fillet from one of our menus have helped to raise nearly £1,200 for the Willow Foundation. For every dish sold, McMullen have donated 25p to the foundation. The charity, originally set up by Arsenal legend Bob Wilson and his wife Megs, in memory of their daughter Anna, arranges special days for seriously ill 16 -40 year olds.
15 McMullen pubs have supported the initiative, and the cheque was handed over at the Red Lion in Hatfield, to David Bolas and Louise Smith from the Willow Foundation by Area Managers James Carboni and Matthew Scarborough-Taylor, and Food Development Manager, Paul Robbins.
Carolyn Jordan, Manager at the Red Lion, commented, “The sole fillet has been a very popular dish, and to have raised so much money for the Willow Foundation has been terrific. We are continuing to support the charity through our new summer menu with 25p going to the charity every time we sell a Nicoise Salad”.
