Treasure Hunt puts barstaff through their paces!
The annual Barperson of the Year competition commenced last week with a Treasure Hunt around Covent Garden.
38 competitors and their Operations Team leaders solved cryptic clues to find their way around the route and also collected information along the way to gain vital points for their team. Not content with that, teams also had specific challenges in pubs along the way and had to get team photos with amongst other things a mime artist, a London policeman and the lions at Trafalgar Square.
The ‘The McMarvellous Seven Fun Rum Runners’ led by Margaret Scott, Area Manager, collected the most points and secured first place, just beating Heydon Mizon’s ‘Google’ team.
Finalists, who will receive an individual mystery customer visit, will be decided by performance on the day and by completion of a work related questionnaire, and the winner announced at the Company Conference at Newmarket in September.
