Chris Evans
HEAD BREWER
In 1989 I graduated from Heriot-Watt University with an honours degree in Brewing and Microbiology. During this time I gained some work experience with Guinness at their Park Royal Brewery.
I joined McMullens 1989 and have had the privilege of brewing in a Victorian Brewery as well as the new Brewery built in 1984. We started planning the construction of our small brewery in 2004 and I assisted in leading the team that designed and built it so as to open on time in January 2006.
As Head Brewer I am passionate about the quality of our fine traditional cask beer. I therefore select the finest ale malts from East Anglia and English whole leaf hops for the production of all our beers.
