I'm part of the Chicken & Grill family!
Chicken & Grill No. 7, this classic local has been with McMullen since 1886.
Rebuilt after a stable fire in 1977, the Sun joined the Chicken & Grill pub family in 2013. Spacious, yet cosy. Chickens roasting away greet you as you enter, from there you’re taken care of in the dining room, or hosted in the private dining / function area.
Our fayre includes freshly spit-roasted chicken, fabulous ice cream sundaes, locally brewed beers, cocktails and our favourite wines – all to be enjoyed by our cosy log burners or alfresco when it’s sunny!

Private Hire, Birthdays and Events
We have two lovely function spaces available for private hire. We cater for formal dining events, buffets, drinks and nibbles or just drinks, whatever you prefer.
We can cater for up to 30 guests in our Front Room, and our larger Garden Room seats 50 guests, or 70 when standing.
