Life prior to McMullen’s:
After completing an HND in Hotel Catering and Institutional Management, James worked at Allied with such brands as Muswells, Exchanges and Calendars before running a French Brasserie in Camden Town. He then moved to run Italian restaurants called Mamma Amalfi when James was appointed a Development Manager and transferred over to Cafe Rouge. The Spirit Group was the last stop for James, where he spent seven years working on their development team within different divisions including locals, city town, family dining and, finally, in the Chef and Brewer brand.
