Over the years that Peter has been in this industry it has changed almost beyond recognition. The key success factor however of providing great value food and drink along with excellent, friendly and hospitable service so as to ensure every customer chooses to revisit us in preference to a competitor, has not changed and remains an essential goal.
What makes McMullen’s the company of choice: For Peter, McMullen’s strength as a company is the desire and proven ability to help all individuals, both employees and tenants, to develop and progress so as to fulfill their potential. All at McMullen’s enjoy getting to know the members of their house teams and the opportunity of participating in the development process.
Life prior to McMullen’s: Peter started his career in the hospitality industry with Whitbread, following stints in the City and the Army. Progressing from Manager of a Beefeater Steakhouse to a Regional General Manager for the carvery restaurant concept, ‘Roast Inn’, Peter departed to become Retail Director of the Thames Valley brewer and pub operator, Morland. In 1998, Peter joined McMullen’s and was promoted to Managing Director in 2003.
