Highlights of the role:
Tom’s responsibilities incorporate the Property, Tenancy, Production and Distribution Departments. His role allows him to continue the focus on maintaining investment in long term sustainable pubs, and securing new ones, to ensure that the Company can service its customers for centuries to come. His is also focused on ensuring that the Company continues its brewing and beer heritage and that Hertford retains its last remaining brewery.
What makes McMullen’s the company of choice:
Tom is part of the sixth generation of McMullen's to commit to the business and he passionately believes that professional management, drawn from both family members and independent directors, is required to ensure strong financial performance while remaining one of the last fully independent heritage family brewing companies.
Life prior to McMullen’s:
As a teenager Tom worked in the pubs as a holiday job. After a stint working abroad in landmine clearance, Tom returned to the UK to qualify and practice as a lawyer before joining the Brewery in 2010.
