Coronavirus: What are the rules of the pub?
Coronavirus has affected each and every one of us in a different way over the last few months, since reopening nearly all of our great pubs on 4th July, safety for our guests and our teams has been our priority.
With the latest government announcement we want to make it clear for you how our pubs will be operating in the best way to keep you safe, and also give you the pub experience you have grown to love and expect.
What are the new rules?
From Monday 14th September people in England can meet in groups of no more than 6, therefore we will only be accepting table bookings of up to 6 individuals including children. The only exception to this is if the entire group can show that they live in the same household, which can include their designated “Support bubble”.
We are now legally required to take details of our guests for the track and trace system from one person per group. We have made this as easy as possible with accessible QR codes in each pub, as well as forms to fill out where needed. If you have booked online, we will sort those details out for you. All your information is securely kept in accordance to GDPR guidelines.
We have followed PHE and Government advice when implementing actions across our managed estate, in order to mitigate the risks posed on our team, guests and suppliers. For a full list of our actions see our statement HERE.
Our commitment is never changing, creating safe spaces with social distancing of 1m+, reducing contact time, enhancing our hygiene standards and tracking our team’s health daily.
Is it safe to go to the pub?
We have taken every step to make sure our great pubs are as safe as can be for everyone in them, if you spot something that you think our team may have missed please let them know at your nearest convenience.
Finally, we want to say a massive thank you to all of our guests who have supported our family business through August and made the most of the Eat Out To Help Out scheme. Our aim is and has always been to keep the Great British pub alive, as well as look after our teams. We have been through 9 recessions, 3 great depressions and 2 world wars. Together we will get through this.comments powered by Disqus
