Mac's Well-being Week 2023!


We have wrapped up another successful 'Mac’s Wellbeing Week' and what an amazing week it was! We took a moment to remind ourselves and explore the 5 ways of wellbeing – to connect, be active, take notice, learn, and give.

The activities official kicked off on Tuesday, with a morning of yoga and meditation with Secret Space Yoga @secretspaceyoga. We learnt all the benefits of yoga and left the session feeling very zen! 

The afternoon was art and crafts with Cherry Pie Makes @cherrypiemakes, where our creativity was sparked while making some inspirational wall hangings for the office.


Wednesday morning started with physiotherapy and the importance of movement with @cjrphysiotherapy, we were even lucky enough to book in a 15 minute session with her! 

The afternoon was a painting class with our very own Geoff - Head of IT.. where we created beautiful masterpieces to take home. This was followed by some friendly open games of football at Hartham Common!


The food team @mcmullens.foodteam hosted a cook-a-long on Thursday, creating delicious and nutritious healthy meals like Bircher muesli bars and Cinnamon Oat Apple Crumble, all on a budget!


Then onto the evening was a comedy night at Saracens Head - Ware. We watched 6 up-and-coming stand ups put on an hilarious show!

Friday was a coffee morning at The Salisbury- a great catch up between departments we don’t get to see every day and cakes were baked by our very own talented Great British Baker, Nat Payton.


Our pubs ran some well-being activities of their own too!


This year's 'Mac's Wellbeing Week' was a huge success, and we hope our teams all learnt something! We will continue to encourage the 5 ways of wellbeing and can’t wait to see how we can continue to support through the year.
