#MacsOpenDay | Hertford Food & Drink Festival 2017

19.09.2017

The annual Hertford Food & Drink Festival returns this October
and we are very proud to be a big part of such a great community event and raising money for Keech Hospice Care.

Once again, we will be opening the big brewery gates on October 7th & 8th for you and your family to enjoy an exclusive visit to your local Brewery and trophy all things food & drink. This time in our 4th year of celebrating this weekend, our event is going to be bigger and better than ever!

Over the weekend, you can experience some fantastic guest vendors who will be situated in our Brewery courtyard. These include Pinkster Gin, Fever Tree, Teapigs, Love Flowers, Cootes & Kerr, Pip Organic and many many more!

Our big event is Free Entry to all from 9:30am all the way through to 5:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday 7th-8th October. Along with all the great food and drink on offer you can also enjoy some fantastic Live Music from the best local artists on our Dray Stage across the weekend, along with fun games for all the family to enjoy. Keep an eye on our McMullen Brewery Twitter as we release the line up in the next few weeks. You can also expect a special visit from the locally famous WS Shire Horses pulling our vintage dray.

Not only will there be our usual Brewery Tours over the weekend (tickets available from the Tourist Information Centre), we are proud to announce the release of some very special tickets to our Breakfast Brewery Tour. Hosted by Head Brewer Chris Evans and the McMullen family we are giving you the opportunity to discover untold facts about the McMullen family history and age old brewing process. On the tour you will also receive a Breakfast Butty, beer samples and a very special McMullen Ale pack including 3 award winning McMullen ales and a branded pint glass. Tour tickets are only £15 and available here.

For the true foodies among us, on Saturday 7th October the Brewery will be home to two pop-up dinner experiences like no other.

Join Chef Paul Robbins and Lee Maycock (Chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs) for a 'Field to Fork' dining experience. Seated in the belly of the brewery you'll take a journey through what's seasonal, local and cooked on an open flame. Each course perfectly matched with McMullen Ale that is being brewed around you. Tickets are just £25 and selling fast! Get yours now below
