Right in the town centre on the banks of the River Lea lies the Saracens Head, which has recently had a stunning refurbishment, making this the perfect spot to escape the crowds, relax and unwind on the water’s edge.

We have invested in this lovely pub to enhance the space and to create an even more welcoming environment for all. It’s exterior playfully nodding to barge life, with spray-painted artwork across the walls.

Festoon lights over the al fresco drinking and dining area, their reflections shimmering on the river and casting a relaxed, slightly offbeat glow.

Inside, the space is alive with quirky, old-school character—retro radios, striking street-art-inspired pieces, and an assortment of eclectic furniture that creates a distinctly vintage atmosphere.

This unique charm continues downstairs in the cellar bar, an intimate space used for live music, themed night and also available to hire for private events.
