A McMullen house since 1936.
The name is of unknown origin – and since the building's deeds bear a covenant from 1936 demanding that the Cock O’ the North ‘be not built as an asylum’ there is clearly some colourful history attached to the place! What we can be sure of, though, is delivering Seriously Relaxed Dining!
We serve glorious food with fresh daily specials, fine wines personally tested on site (a tough job!), real craft ales, credible ethical coffee and, well, lashings of love!
All that comes delightfully wrapped up in this beautifully designed, comfy pub crammed full of private nooks and crannies that promise intrigue and comfort as well as roaring log fires and a secret garden.
