With its stunning waterfront location overlooking the River Crouch, the Anchor offers the perfect tranquil destination to unwind and relax with friends and family. Set in Hullbridge, deep in the heart of the charming Essex countryside, surrounded by acres of green belt farmland and a nature reserve, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the river and undulating hills. A lovely garden and large decked terraces offer plenty of space for eating outside. Our dedicated canopy in the garden provides the perfect place to shelter from the elements whilst catching up with friends outside taking in the views of the river.
If you prefer to be inside, the Orangery, with its floor to ceiling glass windows and an abundance of natural light, is the perfect alternative. The Anchor is a unique riverside retreat and the perfect destination to dine in style or simply to just watch the world go by, whilst enjoying one of our local ales or fine wines, after a stroll along the river bank.
